Orient Express Sailing Yachts: Everything You Need to Know About Orient Express Corinthian

Published 13th of August 2025 | By Alex Loizou

Orient Express Sailing Yachts' Orient Express Corinthian is edging closer to her grand debut. The ship is in the water, her restaurants revealed, accommodation showcased, and itineraries announced for the inaugural Mediterranean and Caribbean sailing seasons. Even the sister vessel, the Orient Express Olympian, has had its steel cut. The pace of progress at Orient Express Sailing Yachts is as impressive as the vessels themselves. Here, we explore everything we know so far about the Orient Express Corinthian sailing yacht - from heritage and design to suites, dining, itineraries, and curated shore experiences.

The Modern Orient Express at Sea

With over 140 years of heritage, the Orient Express brand is renowned for creating extraordinary travel experiences. Now under the stewardship of the Accor group, the Orient Express is preparing to take to the water with the Corinthian - the world's largest sailing yacht.

This is just one part of a wider vision for the brand, which now spans luxury trains, hotels, and yachts. Orient Express recently launched a new luxury train in Italy, with another planned to operate between Paris and Istanbul in 2026. On land, the portfolio has begun with Orient Express La Minerva, a historic property in the heart of Rome that reopened in spring this year, soon to be followed by the Palazzo Donà Giovannelli in Venice, opening in April 2026.

A Sustainable Vision for Luxury Sailing

The Orient Express yacht will begin sailing her maiden season in June 2026 in the Mediterranean. She will be one of the most beautiful cruise ships in the world - and also one of the most sustainable.

Powered by a hybrid propulsion system using liquefied natural gas (LNG), fuel consumption will be reduced by around 40%. The yacht will also feature groundbreaking SolidSail technology: three rigid sails, each more than 100 metres high, enabling up to 100% wind-powered propulsion in favourable weather. When needed, green hydrogen will be used to further minimise environmental impact.

Accommodation on Orient Express Corinthian

Behind the yacht's innovative technology lies a 1920s-inspired design reimagined for the most discerning luxury traveller. The most lavish, the Agatha Christie Signature Suite, spans the full width of the ship at the stern. The expansive terrace features a Jacuzzi, loungers, outdoor sofas, and alfresco dining. Every guest benefits from personalised butler service, enhancing the all-inclusive luxury experience.
