You might have a lifelong wish: to see the Midnight Sun, cruise the Norwegian Fjords, get a glimpse of a polar bear, or witness the unforgettable Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. Alternatively, you may have a hankering to explore further inland, on a Northern European river cruise. Northern European cruises are available from May through to September.

For the Midnight Sun, or the White Nights in St Petersburg, travel during mid-summer (June and July). The Northern Lights are more likely to be seen during the winter - so choose Hurtigruten, the working ships which sail every day of the year from Bergen.
