Immersive Overnights

Ultimately, a cruise is about discovering the world around you. For a true in-depth exploration of your destination, staying overnight in port leaves you with unlimited time ashore when the sun goes down. These sailings offer multiple overnight calls, allowing you to discover more and experience something new in some of the world's greatest destinations.

Our insight

Immersive Overnights

For the discerning traveller, a sailing with multiple overnight calls allows you to get deeper into the heart of the destination in which you're sailing. From wine tasting in 16th-century Tuscan villas to private walking tours in famous cities when the sun goes down, knowing you don't have to sail away that evening adds an extra sense of relaxation to your holiday.

Regent's new Immersive Overnights Collection offers just this; a collection of six magical cruises that offer multiple overnight stays. Sail to Athens from Trieste this autumn and you can enjoy an overnight each in Venice, Zadar and Kotor, and two in Athens, where special experiences on offer include a Michelin-star dinner at an Athens waterside restaurant and a private tour of Venice. Or, on 27 October 2024, an Istanbul to Barcelona voyage offers the likes of private piano concerts and evening tours in Rome for a spectacular new outlook of the city.

There's plenty of chances to explore outside of the cities, too, such as dinner and wine tasting at 16th-century Tuscan estate Villa Dianella on a Rome to Barcelona sailing in November, while a Monte Carlo to Athens voyage in April 2025 will see you spend two days each in glitzy Monte Carlo, spectacular Ephesus and Athens as well as three days in Salerno, exploring with activities such as chef-led market tours, tours of Monaco and Nice and traditional Turkish dance performances.

Further north, the Baltics await on a lovely June 2025 voyage where you can enjoy overnights in Copenhagen, Berlin, Helsinki and Stockholm, with excursions in the latter including a private art tour before sparkling wine and canapés at the former home of Prince Eugen in Stockholm.

Finally, on the other side of the globe, make the most of overnights in the Far East during cherry blossom season with a March 2025 round-trip Tokyo cruise and the chance to explore Kyoto, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo in depth. Highlights include dining on famous Kobe beef cooked by a chef on an open-flame teppanyaki grill, watching a Geisha performance and exploring the Garden City of Suzhou.
