Expect a warm welcome everywhere you go - Egypt goes through hard times so often that its tourism industry suffers a constant roller-coaster ride of highs and lows. The highlight of your stay may well be the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza, but don't neglect a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which has a truly stupendous collection of ancient artefacts, including the Tutankhamen treasures.
