For the latest in our series of special 50th anniversary interviews, we spoke to our good friend Lynn Narraway.

Lynn is Managing Director for the UK and Ireland at Seabourn, and she has spent over 20 years working for Carnival Corporation...

Q: Describe your company in no more than 50 words...

A: The Seabourn concept is an all-inclusive, ultra luxury boutique hotel visiting beautiful ports and cities around the world. From only 229 ocean front suites, most with private verandas, Seabourn blends elegance with impeccable service to give a very personalised experience to every guest

Q: What is your proudest moment as it relates to your company?

A: We work closely on fundraising with the Lord and Lady Taverners charity whose objective is to give disadvantaged and disabled young people a 'sporting chance.' We have raised enough money to buy them two wheelchair accessible minibuses so far. Our fundraising events are very special, and make me very proud indeed.

Q: Tell me something about yourself that most people don't know...

A: I planned to be in Disney on Ice after university. Once I got there I couldn't afford to skate any more so that was one dream I had to sacrifice. But I came back to skating when my girls were children, which was great.

Q: Tell me what, in your opinion, is the one most significant thing that makes your cruise line different from its competitors?

A: It has to be the caring attention from our lovely staff who are always looking for ways to make your trip extra special. When we were on board for our wedding anniversary, they checked with the girls what our favourite foods were, and prepared a special dinner just for us, with our own menu.

Q: What is the next big thing to come from your company?

A: We are very excited about our new expedition programme, starting with the launch of Seabourn Venture in December 2021 - and we have a second ship to follow. All the expertise we have built up operating our special expedition programmes on Seabourn Quest will be brought to this product under our outstanding expert Robin West.

Q: Why do you love Mundy Cruising and what do you think is the secret of their 50 years of success?

A: Edwina and I go back a very long way - in fact we worked together before she even arrived at Mundy Cruising. They understand about how to look after a luxury buyer, and believe in partnerships and friendships. Only a few agents deliver what we at Seabourn deliver.
