Sister yachts Wind Star and Wind Spirit are both 4-masted sail-assisted ships combining the refinement of a modern vessel with the romance of a tall ship.
What we love
Gracious staterooms provide a compact yet comfortable retreat. Facilities include several dining options, a variety of bars and lounges, a small swimming pool, whirlpool and even a watersports platform. A multi-year refresh project commenced in 2023, with Wind Star completing her first phase including a revamped lobby, pool area, gym and more. Wind Spirit will undergo the first phase of her refresh in 2025 and both ships will begin their second phase which includes stateroom redesigns in 2026-27.

Dining on board Wind Star and Wind Spirit is consistently excellent, with open seating, a relaxed dress code and an appealing speciality restaurant.
AmphorA
The elegant main restaurant, open for dinner only, offers a daily changing à la carte menu and an extensive wine list.
Candles
Dine under the stars at Candles, a romantic outdoor restaurant specialising in steak and seafood.
Veranda
The relaxed Veranda offers indoor and outdoor seating, with buffet and à la carte options for both breakfast and lunch.
Bars & Lounges
Windstar's sailing yachts are sociable ships with a surprising amount of outdoor deck space, perfect for soaking up the sun in warmer destinations like Tahiti and the Greek islands.
The Pool Bar is a popular sunset spot, while talks, destination briefings and low key entertainment take place in the Lounge.
Rooms & Suites
Rooms are comfortable and surprisingly spacious, smartly appointed with a nautical feel. Ample outdoor space elsewhere on the ship means that the lack of balconies is not a big deal.
Owners Suite
The Owners Suite offers 220 square feet of living space, including a sitting area and separate in-room dining space.
Staterooms
Thoughtfully designed Staterooms (180 square feet) make clever use of the space, with ample storage, queen bed and a compact bathroom with shower.

Onboard experiences
The atmosphere on board is relaxed and largely unstructured, perfect if you're looking for a more chilled out cruising experience.
Entertainment is typically low key - you might enjoy an acoustic duo in the bar after dinner, or a band playing classic Beatles songs in the Lounge. Every evening there is a destination briefing to prepare you for the following day, and every cruise includes a deck barbecue (weather permitting) with music and entertainment. An open bridge policy means you can visit the captain and his crew, and the watersports platform at the rear of the ship turns the sea into your outdoor playground.
