The elegant main restaurant can seat all guests and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a focus on French and European cuisine and featuring signature dishes by chef Alain Ducasse.

Sila Grill Restaurant

This relaxed restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and is open for buffet breakfast, lunch and themed dinners, with the outdoor restaurant open for lunch and including grills, carveries, burgers and more.

You can enjoy the outdoor pool deck when the weather allows with its outdoor bar and inviting heated seats, or the Detox Bar by the indoor swimming pool in the spa as you look out through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The Observation Lounge on deck 9 is a great place to enjoy the views as you cruise through spectacular polar scenery, and offers live music on selected evenings, while the Main Lounge on deck 5 features a bar, tea corner and separate cigar lounge, with live music on selected evenings.

Owner's Suite

This stunning suite sprawls over 1,227 square feet, with a separate living and dining area, luxurious bathroom with shower and Balneo bathtub, butler service and a huge private terrace with your own outdoor Jacuzzi.

Duplex Suite

These split-level suites offer a generous 517 square feet and accommodate up to four people, with the main bedroom on the lower level and a convertible sofa bed in the living area on the upper level. These suites also include butler service, bathroom with shower and Balneo bathtub, and a spacious balcony with an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Privilege Suite

Perfect for families, these suites can accommodate up to four people, with a convertible sofa bed in the second room, and offer 517 square feet of space, with a generous private balcony, butler service, bathroom with shower and Balneo bathtub, and a private balcony.

Prestige Suite

Similar to the Privilege Suites, with 431 square feet accommodating up to four people, plus a bathroom with two showers and a private balcony.

Deluxe Suite

These spacious rooms offer 301 square feet and accommodate up to three people, with a seating area, bathroom with shower and a private balcony.

Prestige Stateroom

Offering 215 square feet of space, these smartly appointed staterooms have a small seating area, private balcony and bathroom with shower.

A fleet of zodiacs will take you ashore in some of the most remote and untouched areas of the Arctic and Antarctica, and a specialist expedition team will be on board to provide lectures and talks. Entertainment is low key and includes live music in the main lounge, Observation Lounge and the 276-capacity theatre.

As well as several measures taken across the fleet, such as eliminating the use of heavy fuel, CO2 offsetting and working towards a zero plastic waste policy, Le Commandant Charcot is the world's first icebreaker to use hybrid propulsion combining LNG and electric generators, allowing Ponant to explore the polar regions in the cleanest possible way. Ponant have also made the ship available to the scientific community, fitted with labs, equipment and rooms for personnel, allowing scientists to research and observe the poles in order to better protect these delicate environments.
