The ninth ship in the Oceania Cruises fleet, Oceania Sonata will debut in summer 2027, and will be the first vessel in a new class of ships.

What we love

Oceania Cruises' newest ship in the fleet, Oceania Sonata, will build upon Oceania's hallmarks including culinary excellence and immersive itineraries, as well as being the most spacious vessel in the fleet. The ship will feature two brand-new dining venues and 30% of accommodations will be suites, and like the rest of the Oceania Cruises fleet, will operate on an adults-only basis. Oceania Cruises strives for culinary excellence across the fleet, offering a wide range of speciality dining venues - many of which are included in your fare. Oceania Sonata will be no different, showcasing a fantastic varierty of dining options, including guest favourites and brand-new offerings.

Nikkei Kitchen

A brand-new culinary concept exclusive to Oceania Sonata, Nikkei Kitchen showcases the culinary style of the same name which blends Peruvian ingredients with Japanese techniques, featuring a vibrant menu of innovative dishes.

La Table

Another new offering on board Oceania Sonata, this exclusive and intimate fine-dining venue accommodates just 18 guests for a reservations-only wine pairing experience, and will be the first restaurant at sea with the approval of the renowned culinary institution Maîtres Cuisiniers de France. Additional charge applies.

The Grand Dining Room

The main restaurant and heart of all Oceania's ships, this expansive venue enjoys an elegant and stylish design on board Oceania Sonata, with soft natural hues and marble accents. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner here.

Jacques

Named after Oceania's culinary patriarch, chef Jacques Pépin, this guest favourite serves classic and reimagined French cuisine in sophisticated surrounds, with the intimacy of a Parisian bistro. Open for dinner only.

Polo Grill

A timeless American-style steakhouse elevated with crisp tablecloths and dark wood furnishings serving prime cuts and classic favourites including surf and turf, lobster, and caesar salad. Open for dinner only.

Red Ginger

Enjoy a range of Asian dishes boasting bold flavours from Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand and more in this restaurant featuring striking red accents and beautiful etched glass screens. Open for dinner only.

Toscana

A taste of Tuscany awaits in this bright venue, adorned with scenes of the Italian countryside and styled in earthy tones, setting the scene for simple Italian fare including recipes passed through generations. Open for dinner only.

Terrace Café

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a casual setting, head here to choose fresh and flavourful offerings from the buffet selection and dine either inside with expansive sea views or on the terrace.

Aquamar Kitchen

Enjoy bright, fresh flavours for lunch and dinner at this wellness-focussed venue, offering cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, energy bowls and more.

Waves Grill

This poolside venue is a must for casual bites including burgers, salads, and grilled seafood during the day. In the evening, it transforms into a laid-back pizzeria.

Baristas

A social hub for guests to swing by and grab coffees and pastries, boasting expansive ocean views and an al fresco terrace. In the afternoon the nearby Crêperie is a must for gelato, waffles, and crêpes.

Bars and lounges

Designed to be spacious with plenty of choice, Oceania Sonata boasts several stylish bars and lounges to relax, socialise, or enjoy some entertainment.

Enjoy the sophisticated ambience of Martinis to sample the namesake drink as well as other classic cocktails, or head to the Grand Lounge or Horizons for sea views. The Oceania Sonata Lounge is the place to go for entertainment including musical performances and intimate cabarets, and a new venue for Oceania Sonata, Opus Lounge, offers whiskeys and innovative cocktails.

With a third of Oceania Sonata's accommodations dedicated to suites, you can expect spacious sanctuaries in which to unwind, and for the first time in the fleet, all staterooms feature private balconies.

Owner's Suite

For the ultimate indulgence, the four Owner's Suites boast 2,527 square feet of space, comprising a spacious and inviting living and dining area, a master and guest bedroom, and expansive verandahs off the living room and both bedrooms.

Vista Suite

These eight plush suites enjoy sweeping ocean views together with up to 1,905 square feet of space, and feature a bright living room, dining room, bar area, master suite, and master bathroom - complete with double vanities, a rainforest shower, and bathtub - and a wraparound balcony.

Oceania Suite

A true sanctuary, these opulent suites feature between 1,048 to 1466 square feet of space with a King-sized bed, spacious marble bathroom with sea views, luxurious living and dining area, and a range of privileges including course-by-course in-suite dining available, evening canapés on request, butler service, and more.

Horizon Suite

Delight in over 600 square feet of space in these indulgent suites, offering separate living and bedroom areas, a walk-through wardrobe and an oversized balcony furnished with loungers and an outdoor dining table. Additional amenities include Executive Lounge access, complimentary in-suite bar set up, and a welcome bottle of Champagne.

Penthouse Suite / Penthouse Deluxe Suite

Enjoy a spacious home from home in the elegant Penthouse Suites, offering up to 426 square feet of space and boasting benefits including access to the Executive Lounge, butler service, in-suite dining available from the speciality restaurants, and more.
