At a star-studded evening at London's beautiful Pan Pacific
Hotel on 16th November 2022, Alex Loizou collected the prestigious
Wave Award for Best Specialist Cruise Agent on behalf of Mundy
Cruising.
The Wave Awards is known as the UK cruise industry's Oscars. Now
in its eighth year, the award process aims to recognise, reward and
celebrate innovation and excellence within the cruise holiday
sector, and is owned, organised and produced by Real Response
Media, the owners of World of Cruising magazine. The awards are
decided by an expert panel of industry judges.
Our own Alex Loizou, Director of Sales and Marketing, was proud
to collect the award on behalf of the whole Mundy team. He said:
'We have all worked so hard over the past few years to deliver the
very best customer service even when holidays were being postponed
and cancelled, and that hard work has paid off this year with
amazing sales for 2023 and beyond. Our thanks go both to our cruise
line partners and to our clients for their loyal support. As a

The host of this year's glamorous ceremony was renowned actor,
presenter and comedian Stephen Mangan who paid tribute to the UK
cruise industry as a whole: "It was a really lovely evening and
there was a very friendly feeling in the room. As an industry,
tonight was the perfect mix of being respectful to one another and
having lots of energy. Huge congratulations to all of the
winners."

Edwina Lonsdale is Managing Director and together with husband Matthew, owner of Mundy Cruising. Most recently she's cruised on Windstar and has also sailed with Silversea, Seabourn, Regent Seven Seas, Crystal, SeaDream, Ponant, AmaWaterways and Aqua Expeditions. Her favourite destination is the Galapagos however she's also enjoyed cruises in the Mediterranean, Danube, Middle East, East Africa & Indian Ocean, Brahmaputra, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, the Mekong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Caribbean and the Arctic. When she’s not travelling she loves reading, food and wine.
