Setting sail from London Tower Bridge
In our view there couldn't be a more magical port than Tower Bridge. Only the smaller ships can make it up the river to the Pool of London, tying up next to HMS Belfast, with glorious views to the north of the Tower of London, and to the south of the modern City Hall. As you sail from here, the bridge opens, stopping the traffic for your departure. The skyline boasts the bridge itself, and behind it the City's modern architecture: the Gherkin, the Cheese Grater and the Walkie Talkie building.
Stroll along the South Bank to Shakespeare’s Globe – pre-book to see a performance if you can, either at the Globe, or in the new, entrancingly tiny Sam Wanamaker theatre – a gem.
Situated on the southern bank of the Seine estuary, Honfleur was once one of France’s most important ports. It was also a favourite location of Monet and the Impressionists, and art lovers may well recognise the elegant Renaissance architecture of the old harbour, the Vieux Bassin.
Amsterdam is one of our very favourite cities to visit, as well as also being a perfect base to explore the nearby landscape of windmills and dikes. There is a wealth of famous museums and galleries to choose from, such as the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Anne Frank House.
Wonderful Copenhagen is the perfect city to explore on foot, by bicycle or by water. Visit the bustling wharf at Nyhavn, enjoy the palaces, galleries and museums, wander through the amazing Tivoli Gardens, and if you have time, make the most of Copenhagen’s gastronomic revolution.
Aalborg, Denmark’s fourth largest city, sits towards the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula, bisected by the Limfjord. It’s an important industrial centre and university town, with a recently revitalised waterfront area and a small but picturesque old town.
Gothenburg, Sweden’s laid back second city, is a delightful mix of cobbled streets, neoclassical architecture and picturesque canals. The old town is full of history, with some interesting museums, and the thriving arts scene has helped to revitalise the city’s previously run-down industrial districts.
The intriguing city of Oslo, Norway’s capital, has so much to offer, from the open air Norwegian Folk Museum to the amazing Vigeland sculpture park, and from the Holmenkollen Ski Museum to the Munch Museum’s collection of memorable paintings. History, art and culture are what defines this lovely city.

Your home from home
Silver Wind is a little ship with an intimate style and personal service, which has earned her a well deserved loyal and dedicated following.
What we love
Silver Wind is a lovely size; with just 296 guests, she's a cruise ship in miniature. You can expect all the facilities and space of a larger ship, with the intimacy of a small yacht. She's comfortable in the middle of a great ocean, but can also slip up rivers and into tiny harbours.

The Guoman Tower Hotel, right by the bridge to the North of the river, has fantastic views to put you in the mood.
A tour of Tower Bridge
A private tour to Tower Bridge's Towers, high-level Walkways and new glass floor, then down to the Engine Rooms, is rather special.
