The Majestic Line fleet

The Majestic Line

Operating four tiny vessels that explore the beautiful Scottish coastline on itineraries of 3, 6 or 10 nights, The Majestic Line is a celebration of all things Scottish and offers a truly unique experience.

The Majestic Line's ships carry a maximum of either 11 or 12 guests and are crewed by a skipper, chef, engineer and bosun who lay on the very best in Scottish hospitality. Food and scenery provide the highlights. Meals are freshly prepared on board utilising locally sourced seasonal produce, and iconic islands such as Islay, Jura, Mull, Skye, St Kilda, Staffa and Iona provide the stunning backdrop.

Our Insight

Why The Majestic Line

The unique appeal of The Majestic Line's tiny vessels is that they can get away from the crowds, sailing up lochs and into bays that no other cruise ship can access. With good chefs, and top quality ingredients that are beyond fresh (the prawn boats come alongside to deliver), the Majestic Line vessels command a high level of loyalty, helped by the varied itineraries, encouraging guests to return year after year.

Itineraries are flexible and the skipper will sit down with passengers each evening, learning more about your particular interests, in order to tweak plans for the following day. Keen walkers, for example, might be set down in the morning and picked up for lunch, ten miles later. Others are happy to simply sit and watch the world go by, spotting wildlife and soaking up the scenery.

Days follow a common routine with breakfast taken whilst at anchor, then enjoy scenic cruising to stop before lunch somewhere new. Meals are served at the communal table in the deck saloon and canapés and drinks are often served on the outdoor aft deck.

The deck saloon is an ideal space to gather and relax, with fabulous panoramic views of the coastline as the you gently cruise through the landscape. Here there is a well-stocked bar, and tea, coffee and soft drinks are available.

All cabins have been designed to be comfortable but with the assumption that guests will spend their time in the indoor deck saloon, observation saloon or on the outdoor decks. All are en suite and can be configured with either twin or double beds. All cabins are similar in size and style and although spacious for a boat they are compact compared to a hotel bedroom.

Sailing from April to October, The Majestic Line makes the most of the longer summer days with opportunities for walks ashore and wildlife spotting, or just relaxing onboard.

On each vessel two double cabins are reserved for single occupancy at no additional supplement and the vessel makes an ideal charter option for those looking for a trip with family or friends.
