I will always be grateful to the family that gave me my first job in travel. Through their investment in me I developed a love of travelling and exploring our wonderful world that I will never lose. I love to share my knowledge and experience with my clients and help to enhance their travel plans.

My favourite destination

There are many opportunities to cruise around the Caribbean islands from small 100 passenger yacht style cruising to the mega ships with thousands of passengers. The joy of travelling on a smaller vessel is in the extra attention to detail and service provided onboard and in stopping at small island destinations that cannot be visited by the larger vessels. I loved travelling the Caribbean on a small ship and I would highly recommend trying this style of cruise.

Research the ports you are visiting.

Don't be afraid to independently take a short journey by taxi, train or bus; you will often be pleasantly surprised by what you find with a little pre-planning!

Best cruise dining experience: Sitting at the Sushi Bar in Silk Road on Crystal Serenity and watching the chefs create a fantastic meal for us!

Best non-cruise holiday: I had to agree to my daughter making all the arrangements when we joined her in India for 2 weeks during her gap year travels. She put together a fantastic itinerary, the most memorable part was a camel safari into the desert just for the four of us! We enjoyed a BBQ cooked by the camel chief and were then joined by local goat herders and together they sang Indian love songs around the fire. Then, we slept under the stars, a wonderful experience and one I will never forget!

Interesting fact about yourself: I conquered my very real fears and took a tandem paragliding trip from the top of Mount Babadag and landed on the beach in Olu Deniz, Turkey. I loved it, but never again!
