Those who love the relaxed and unique style of the intimate Hebridean Spirit will be eagerly awaiting the summer 2008 brochure. The slightly late release reflects the introduction of some new itineraries, and a programme which will have been well worth waiting for.
For the first time, ‘Footloose’ itineraries, which have been so popular with Hebridean Princess, will be introduced. These very special programmes enable walkers to explore on foot in each port of call, benefiting from planned walking programmes, and a standby car should the whole thing turn out to be too much. A big hit with Hebridean Princess in Scotland, Footloose itineraries have never before been a part of the Hebridean Spirit programme, and we know they will be warmly welcomed.
The summer kicks off with an Azores itinerary. Visiting these lush green islands for the first time, Hebridean Spirit will introduce you to their exceptional beauty in true Hebridean style – off the beaten track, and far from the tourist hordes.
This will be followed by some new calls in Spain and Portugal as Hebridean Spirit makes her way eastwards through the magical Mediterranean taking you the route less travelled, to treasures, coves and islands unreached by other travellers.
Reaching the coast of Turkey, she will visit new islands and archipelagos as she meanders through the Eastern Mediterranean, seeking out traces of the great civilisations of yesteryear, and creating magical voyages which combine history, archaeology, natural beauty and relaxation.
Two fascinating Black Sea options are on offer, before finishing the season visiting the amazing antiquities of Egypt and Jordan, with its Jewel, the Rose Red City of Petra.
For 2008, all fly-cruises will commence in the peace and tranquillity of the Private Terminal at London’s Stansted airport, far from the hustle and noise of the main terminal. A fitting start to a very special holiday.
