Crystal and Silver – a sparkling partnership

Crystal Cruises and Silverjet have teamed together to create a wonderfully appealing fly-cruise combination

Regular readers will remember our review of business class only airline Silverjet to New York in the last issue (you can refresh your memories at www.mundycruising.co.uk, or ask us to send you a copy). Amazing transatlantic fares are available, as well as a more relaxed airport experience at Luton – conveniently located if you live to the north of London.

Crystal Cruises and Silverjet have teamed together to create a wonderfully appealing fly-cruise combination, an eight-night fly-cruise including business class flights from just £2795 per person. Leaving Luton on September 14th on the 10am flight, you arrive in New York in plenty of time to join Crystal Symphony. By the time you sail at 9 that evening, you will be completely ‘crystallised’, enjoying the leisurely dining options, great entertainment and outstanding service levels which are the hallmarks of the Crystal experience.

The following day, sleep in, then enjoy the late risers breakfast on the lido deck. Check your emails, watch a film, go to a lecture, book a spa treatment, or how about a game of tennis, or a long walk on the open promenade deck. The newly refurbished Crystal Symphony is a magical floating resort, with as much or as little to do as you please.

On Sunday, you arrive in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with time to visit the citadelle, tour the town, or maybe take a very special Mundy Carte Blanche tour, designed especially to suit you and your tastes. Sailing back towards New York, the following day you are in Bar Harbor. Structure the day to suit your tastes – something adventurous, beautiful scenery, or great food could be the keystone to your day’s activities. Then on to Boston – two glorious days in this most civilized of cities is the perfect short break: time to get your bearings, eat out, and feel at home. As your cruise draws to an end, a day in Newport Rhode Island is a final highlight. Home to miles of scenic coastline, Newport also offers opulent mansions, interesting museums, not to mention three local vineyards and some wonderful shopping opportunities.
Arriving back in New York on Friday morning, why fly straight home? Extend your stay in New York to soak up the bustle and buzz of this amazing city.

(Alternatively, why not consider the transatlantic sailing from Dover on August 31st, with a Silverjet flight home?)
