At Mundy Cruising we've always tried to understand more about the issues and concerns of our solo travellers, and we regularly campaign for lower or no single supplements with our cruise line partners. Here are four of the most interesting itineraries coming up in 2018 on our top solo-friendly cruise lines, all with no single supplement to pay:

1. Uniworld River Cruises - Tulips & Windmills

The tulip fields of the Netherlands light up with vibrant colours during spring, and Uniworld's 9-night Tulips and Windmills river cruise from Amsterdam to Antwerp on board the beautiful River Duchess is the perfect way to experience this wonderful spectacle. Uniworld are currently waiving the single supplement on a number of departures, with the 27 March 2018 sailing offering a particularly appealing lead-in fare. You'll spend time in Amsterdam and the fascinating Belgian cities of Ghent and Antwerp, visit the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens and see the famous windmills of Kinderdijk.

2. Tauck River Cruises - The Blue Danube

Tauck don't charge a single supplement for category 1 cabins on any of their European river cruises, and we think that the 26 April 2018 voyage along the Danube on board the ms Joy looks particularly appealing. Enjoy a two night stay in magical Prague before heading east through Germany, Austria and Slovakia. Highlights include the picturesque Wachau Valley, the imperial grandeur of Vienna and Salzburg's beautiful Altstadt, and your cruise ends with a two night stay in the fascinating city of Budapest.

3. Ponant - The Best of Croatia

French cruise line Ponant have waived the single supplement on a number of cruises on board their stylish yachts, and this 30 August 2018 round-trip itinerary from Venice has caught our eye. The intimate Le Lyrial carries just 264 guests, and her small size allows you to visit lesser known Dalmatian gems such as Korcula and Sibenik. You'll also enjoy an overnight stay in delightful Dubrovnik, and sail into Montenegro's spectacular Bay of Kotor.

4. AmaWaterways - Captivating Rhine

Travel through the heart of Europe on this great value river cruise on board AmaStella, departing Amsterdam on 19 November 2018. You'll travel south along the Rhine through Germany and France, with highlights including Cologne's imposing cathedral, the fairytale old town of Strasbourg and the delightful Swiss city of Basel, where your 7-night cruise ends. With no single supplement, this is a great opportunity for solo travellers to experience one of the best river cruise lines in the business.
