'No single supplement' cruises: 4 of the best in 2017

By

At Mundy Cruising we've always tried to understand more about the issues and concerns of our solo travellers, and we regularly campaign for lower or no single supplements with our cruise line partners. Here are four of the most interesting itineraries coming up in 2017 on our top solo-friendly cruise lines, all with no single supplement to pay:

1. Voyages to Antiquity - Mediterranean Odyssey

It's not too late to land a bargain in the Med this summer, and this appealing 12-night itinerary starts from just £1,995 fly-cruise. Fly to Lisbon and set sail around the coast of Spain, visiting cities including Málaga, Valencia and Barcelona. Then head east along the glamorous French Riviera, calling at Marseille and Monte Carlo, before your voyage comes to an end with calls at Portofino, Livorno and Rome. Your ship, the Aegean Odyssey, has 26 dedicated single occupancy cabins, and there is no single supplement to pay on this fascinating cruise.

2. Tauck River Cruises - The Rhine and Moselle

Tauck don't charge a single supplement for category 1 cabins on any of their European river cruises, and we think that the 8 September 2017 southbound voyage along the Rhine and Moselle on board the ms Grace looks particularly appealing. Embark in Amsterdam before heading south through the Netherlands, Germany and France. Highlights include the beautiful medieval architecture of Strasbourg, the Black Forest spa town of Baden-Baden and the vineyard-covered Moselle valley, and your 12-night cruise ends in the sophisticated Swiss city of Basel.

Petite France, Strasbourg

3. Uniworld River Cruises - Enchanting Danube

If you're looking for a shorter river cruise in Europe, then Uniworld's 7-night Enchanted Danube itinerary from Passau to Budapest on board the beautiful SS Maria Theresa might be just the ticket. Uniworld are currently waiving the single supplement on a number of departures, with the 23 July 2017 sailing offering a particularly appealing lead-in fare. You'll visit some of central Europe's most mesmerising cities, with highlights including Salzburg, the Wachau Valley and the Habsburg grandeur of Vienna and Budapest.

Salzburg, Austria

4. Ponant - Discover Indonesia

French cruise line Ponant have waived the single supplement on a number of cruises on board their stylish yachts, and this 22 September 2017 round-trip itinerary from Bali has caught our eye. You'll head off the beaten track on this expedition-style voyage, visiting some of the lesser known areas of the Indonesian archipelago. Discover the volcanic landscapes of Sulawesi, the unique culture of Flores and Sumbawa, and the rich wildlife of Komodo National Park, with the option to extend your trip with some beach time on beautiful Bali.
